Dr. Garcia, OD has been practicing in Lemoore since 1993, when he arrived at the Naval Hospital, located on Naval Air Station Lemoore. He attended the U.C. San Diego, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1989.
He went on to attend the Southern California College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993. Dr. Garcia has been practicing at Family Eye Care in Lemoore, ever since.
Dr. Garcia, OD is proud of his Naval Service. He affiliated with the Navy Reserve right after graduating from high school, in 1985. He spent eight years serving as a Hospital Corpsman with the 4th Marines. He was commissioned as an Officer in the Navy Reserve while attending optometry school on a Navy Scholarship. He has served over 26 years as a Navy Reservist, currently as a Captain, in the Medical Service Corps.
He is very active in his Community, having served as President of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Lion Club and he is currently serving on the Lemoore Planning Commission. One of his passions is providing eye care to those less fortunate. He volunteers his time to provide eye exams and glasses to those in need in the Kings County area on a monthly basis. He also travels annually abroad providing eye care services and eyeglasses to the underserved. His volunteer efforts through the Lions Club and other organizations extend from North America to South America and Asia. His years of volunteer work with tens of thousands of his patients from around the world give him a great deal of experience from which to draw from in working with patients in his own practice.
Dr. Garcia, OD is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease and in the treatment of glaucoma by the State of California Board of Optometry.
Dr. Garcia, OD was honored as the Lemoore Citizen of the Year in 2010 and selected as the Armed Forces Reserve Optometrist of the year in 2011.
Dr. Garcia, OD is a member of The American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Kings-Tulare Counties Optometric Society and the Armed Forces Optometric Society.

Dr. Guerra has been a part of Family Eye Care since 2011. Dr. Guerra is a Native of the Central Valley and grew up in Selma, California. She attended U.C. San Diego and received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2007. She went on to attend the Southern California College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2011. Having accomplished her goals, Dr. Guerra is excited to be practicing optometry at Family Eye Care and providing excellent services to the local Community.
Dr. Guerra completed her clinical rotations at the Naval Hospital Lemoore, the Veterans Health Clinic in Sierra Vista, Arizona and the Hu Hu Kam Native American Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, Arizona. She is a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Guerra is certified by the National Board of Optometry in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease and certified to treat glaucoma.

Dr. Brar joined the Family Eye Care team in 2019. Having been born and raised in Selma, California, he is familiar with the Central Valley. Growing up locally allowed Dr. Brar to see the benefits of working in such a close-knit and caring community, and is proud to be serving local residents with complete eye care services.
In 2012, Dr. Brar graduated from UC Irvine with his Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics. He then went on to complete a Post-Baccalaureate in Biology at CSU Eastbay, and finally, attended Southern California College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2019. Dr. Brar is certified by the National Board of Optometry in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease and certified to treat glaucoma.
During his time as a fourth year Optometry student, Dr. Brar completed his clinical rotations at the Naval Hospital Lemoore, Castle Family Health Clinic in Atwater, and Family Eye Care in Lemoore. He is a member of the Central California Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
In his free time, Dr. Brar enjoys traveling, cooking, and watching movies; he also has a passion for sports, health, fitness, and music.

Dr. Lu was born in Burma and raised in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor of Art degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and later earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry.
Dr. Lu completed her clinical rotations at a Veterans Affairs Health Clinic in Florida, a Community Health Center in Central California, and a Neuro-Optometry Rehabilitation Clinic in Southern California. Dr. Lu is fully certified by the National Board of Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma.
During her free time, Dr. Lu likes to travel and go on food adventures. She is excited to be a part of Family Eye Care Optometry and looks forward to providing exceptional care to the local community.
